The Vestry meeting was called to order at 6:30PM by Fr. Tom . Fr.  Tom opened with a prayer. 

 

Members Present: Dick Breithaupt, Senior Warden; Don Anderson, Junior Warden; Dave Abernethy, Treasurer; Fr. Tom, Rector; Van Geoghegan, Charlene Connolly, Joyce Cashin, Lee Perry, Yvonne Hive & Judy Allen joined on the phone. Absent was Dick Emerson,  and Peter Lund.

 

There was a discussion on Chapter 9 of Cultivating the Missional Church.  Fr. Tom would like us to be more positive & appreciate what we have going forward.  There was a conversation about how we can grow the church and there were many opinions as to how that would happen.

 

Don Anderson gave a presentation of his life & his many accomplishments.

 

Minutes & Financials were presented and unanimously approved.

 

Audit report Dick B. moved to accept it and Don A. seconded and it was unanimously approved.

 

Sexton will not be part of God’s Gardeners.  The person will handle things inside and God’s Gardeners will handle things outside.  Salary range to be decided.

 

Farmer’s Market 11/9/19 thru 4/11/20.  The rates will be $600 for the season and $35 for the week.  Van moved and Joyce seconded, and it was unanimously approved.

 

Gift Acceptance Policy Money is always accepted, and material donations will be discussed as presented.  Dave A. moved & Lee P. seconded, and it was unanimously approved.

 

Disaster Plan was discussed and will be presented to the Parish.  Dick B. moved & Joyce C. seconded and it was approved.

 

The Vestry decided to make a payment to a parishioner as requested.

 

Van went to St. Matthews to find out how we can get help from their members for certain functions that go on at the church.

 

Don Anderson told us we do not have a problem with the water.

 

Bev Whiteman will not be doing Stewardship or the Pancake Breakfast in the future.

 

The meeting ended with a prayer and was adjourned at 8:15PM.

 

No date for the next meeting was discussed.
